Wellington North Parents Centre Inc is one of
52 parents centres
throughout New Zealand. We are a voluntary
organisation for parents and parents-to-be, run by parents.
We provide Childbirth Education Classes
(antenatal classes), Parent & Child Education
courses
for Parents in the Wellington North area (Churton Park
to Makara: including Thorndon, Wadestown and Northland).
We do not support or promote any one model of birth
or parenting practice. Rather, through a variety
of education and information programmes we inform parent/caregivers
and parents-to-be the choices available to them.
Wherever
possible we ask qualified professionals to present our
education programmes.
WNPC
is affiliated to Parents
Centre New Zealand Inc, which
is a non-profit organisation.
PCNZ lobbies for the rights of parents and children
at a national level.
What the Parents Centre Symbol Means:
- the parents caring for and supporting each other and
protecting and nurturing the child
- the ideal of breastfeeding
